The constant redesign is a mess - that's why my wife never updates her app on Android. The sad thing is that scoring is not server-based, it's app-based, so, every user being on a different version gets different points for the same effort! How is this fair?! In addition, being more than 300 days on Duolingo already, their gamification is actually preventing me from learning - if I want to get a good gaming status, I focus on making points, not on learning new things - their scoring is absolutely wrong and ensures daily engagement, not daily learning!
